Biliary Manometry

Biliary manometry is a test used to evaluate people with right upper quadrant pain which may radiate to their back or shoulder, pancreatitis or jaundice. Biliary manometry is a diagnostic study to obtain pressure measurements from the sphincter of Oddi. The sphincter regulates the flow of bile and pancreatic secretions into the duodenum. This test is done during an ERCP (endoscopicretrogradecholangiopancreatography).
